International Education Week 2017
University of Georgia
In 2001, the United States Department of State and Department of Education created International Education Week (IEW) to promote the benefits of international education and worldwide exchange. This week is celebrated annually across the United States and typically occurs during the month of November each year. The next International Education Week is scheduled for November 13-17, 2017. In an effort to provide programs and services that prepare UGA students for a global environment, ISL and campus partners puts together a week-long program to celebrate international education here at UGA!
We invite you, our campus partners, to help contribute to the robustness of this week by submitting a program for the IEW schedule. Your program submission can be something new or an existing program/event that aligns with the goals of IEW.
This year's goals for IEW are to:
- Celebrate the benefits of international exchange;
- Promote international understanding;
- Prepare UGA students to live and work in a global environment;
- Support and celebrate the international student diversity here at UGA.
Our hope is to build a comprehensive and robust week of opportunties for our UGA community to engage in cultural exchange, understanding, and experiences.
